What is the General Data Protection Regulation?
The aim of the GDPR is to protect personal data and grant rights to natural persons in the European Union. The GDPR has been in force since 25 May 2018. This means that the same privacy legislation applies throughout the European Union (EU). The regulation applies to the data controller.
What does the ePrivacy Regulation entail?
The ePrivacy Regulation lays down the rules for email, cookies and telemarketing. They are not specifically covered in the GDPR.

A Data Privacy Impact Assessment (DPIA) is a method for identifying and reducing the privacy risks of organisations.
